Data Protection receives increasing media coverage and not a week goes by without a high profile breach incident hitting the headlines.

 

But Data Protection compliance isn’t just important for multinational companies.  It is just as important for third sector organisations, irrespective of how small or large they are.  Third sector organisations engage with a diverse range of individuals, from employees through to volunteers and service users, and hold a broad range of sensitive personal data, often concerning children and vulnerable adults.  Taking steps towards compliance now can go some way towards avoiding costly damage to reputation later or possibly even a six figure fine.
